No, it is an American agent named Dan Barnet who keeps trying to link players in Israel with MLS clubs. Whoever does go see him practice, please upload a photo of him onto WikiCommons on Wikipedia because there is no picture of him there. Also, Shriki was named tonight Find of the Year by the Israel Football Players Association. It is a sort of Rookie of the Year/Break out player of the year award. They would probably translate it into English as Rookie of the Year but he has been playing for a couple of years so that can't really be an accurate translation.
Idan Shriki according to the reports only starts trialing or arrives to America on June 4th. Check with the Kansas City front office before you actually shlep out to a practice.
That's ok. It's only about 2000 feet from the place I work. I'll take pictures of Man of the Month, Davy Arnaud instead

Found some more on YouTube: Round 3 F.C. Ashdod 1-4 Beitar Jerusalem Idan Shriki scores the third goal (only goal for Ashdod) Round 26 F.C. Ashdod 1-2 Maccabi Netanya Idan Shriki scores the second goal (first goal for Ashdod), ex-Colorado midfielder Dedi Ben Dayan has a goal called off Round 27 F.C. Ashdod 4-1 Hapoel Petah Tikva Idan Shriki assits on the third goal of the match (second for Ashdod)
As I'm now out of school and I don't do anything in the mornings anyway, I've been going to practices and plan on going to all of them this week and I'll likely be there next week to see how he is. As for pictures, I don't have a good digital camera to take pictures with, but I'll be taking notes and will give a detailed report.
I was just talking to my brother about our need to pick up another forward. Because with either EJ or Sealy out that area is definately a weakness for us. I hope this works out, this could turn out to be a great pickup.
There are better goals from this season, but the people who posted these videos were fans of the other teams so you only get to see good games of their teams.
Great. These are the things we should see out of the Front Office. New guys in all the time. I'd like to see them stick, but even if not, at least we can see the team working to get better on the field. That said, I had never heard of FC Ashdod and I hope MLS isn't at the point where the Israeli Rook of the Year or whatever can come in and make a difference, but if he is the real deal, I'm glad he's here and not in Denver or Houston. Sowhat is the Hebrew equivalent of the cliche? [Hebrew "Nke LLsh"]"I'm just happy to be here..hope I can help the ball club. Good lord willing, it'll all work out. Sometimes you win. Sometimes you lose. Sometimes it rains.[/Hebrew "Nke LLsh]
I really hope he does work out, but really look at the leauge ranking of "Ligat ha' Al" ," Nothing to be to excited about" Also if hes that good why is he not with one of the bigger clubs? , Maccabi Haifa , Beitar Jerusalem, M. Tel Aviv? just wondering. I guess its worth a try we do "need insurance"at frwd. Maybe a player that has a few yrs. under his belt?but Dont ask me who?!
"League ranking"? You mean the one that lists MLS at something like 100? Formulaic rankings of leagues is absolutely horrible. It's numerology, not math.
I'm pretty sure he means within the Israeli league itself. Looks like FC Ashdod is 7th in a 12 team table and it looks like they are the best of the second tier teams in the table. There appears do be a decent gap between them and #6, but then again when every letter is a vowel on the website I can only assume so much. http://fcashdod.ashdod4u.com/
