Effective immediately, this forum is under the same rules as International news as it's a sub forum of that. The reason being that we expect and can see many of the same posters from that forum are in here. The rules in International News have worked quite well in stopping the crap from coming back. Lets just prevent it from coming here at all.

As the Mods have made clear, if the rules are not adhered to and the forum is not kept clean as much as possible - it will be taken away. The same Mods are here as in IN - most of you know us, and know pushing us too much will simply result in cards and bans.

Play fair and you will be treated fairly.

    1. NBA stands for No Babies Allowed - we will no longer be an outlet for your whining, cribbing, crying, complaining, outrage, delusions, conspiracy theories, feelings of victimization, etc. If you get warned, say you understand. If you are forum banned, say "thank you, may I have another".

    2. Forum bans from Military will now result in a full politics forum ban. If you can't play nice in Military, then you can't go to Politics to spew whatever got you banned from Military.

    3. If you can't handle the punishments that we give out, or are confused about what is okay, don't post in Military. It's as simple as that - you are responsible for you - if you didn't mean to violate the standards we are enforcing, a quick apology for the misunderstanding is your best choice.

    4. If you were punished unfairly, too bad. If "he/she started it!" or if "the other guy got nothing!", tell your mommy or someone who cares. Again, don't post in this forum if you can't be an adult.

    5. Complaining that the mods are "racist" (or related implications) will result in a 2 week forum ban.

    6. Complaining about your forum ban or punishment will likely double your forum ban. Random complaints about moderating will result in a 1 week forum ban.

    7. A polite request to the moderator for explanation of the ban is fine - if one isn't forthcoming - however we reserve the right to ignore your request.

    8. You are allowed to report 2 posts per week. 3 reported posts in a week or more may result in a 1 week forum ban - especially if your intent for reporting a post is to try to ban your fellow posters.

    9. Apologies and understanding of your ban are the best way to reduce your forum bans.

    10. This forum is for our regulars, newbies who begin posting here may find their leash shorter than others.

If you can't act like an adult in Military, we will happily help you by removing your access. This forum is for people who can be adults or play them on TV.

We reserve the right to alter, bend and break the rules laid out above as we see fit. If you don't think we are capable of being fair, please don't post here.

The period for debating this policy has now ended and this discussion is closed. We eagerly won't be waiting for your complaints about this policy.

    Rick,
I would like to interject that one of the goals in asking for this forum was to limit the topics to actual Military exp. weapons, things of that nature and not to make it a pissing contest between whose military is better etc... In a way the intent was to remove the 'politics' and just concentrate on what is in the title of this sub forum.

I appreciate you and BigSoccer for creating this forum and I look forward to the threads to come.

Happy Memorial Day! Freedom isn't free and be sure to thank those who have helped preserve it for us all.

    Done.

Actually, since he is off to Zimbabwe for most of June, I can make it a month and we'll not see much difference! :)

We know this is liable to be a problem in here, but when the forum was made a "stepchild" of the International News forum rather than its own entity beneath Politics & Current Events, we thought it best to cover the bases, as it were.

    Carry on!

That only makes sense, the reason why I brought that up is so that posters who post in this forum understand the intent for why this forum was started.

We can leave the our army can kick your army's ass in the IN area.

I would love to see some of our other posters from around the World weigh in with some pics and stories of what life is like in the Military outside the US.
