The problem being that Reis isn't the kind of keeper you can take advantage of by giving him a lot to do.

I'd rather we try and be a bit more selective in our shots than we have been in previous games, as opposed to giving the Revs possession/a goal kick every time we move forward.

So no Conrad and no Sealy with Marinelli probably coming off the bench, I'm guessing we line up like this

    ----------------Hartman
    Jewsbury---Hohlbein--Garcia---Burciaga
    ----------------Zavagnin
    Arnaud-----------------------Harrington
    ----------------Victorine
    -------------Yura-----EJ

With Marinelli subbing in in the second half for Yura.

I'm sorry but Yura has failed to impress me at all the this season, I think his touches are off, his passes are not on target, and his finishing has been horrible. His attempt at goal was ambitious to say the least at opening kick off in chicago. In my mind I think Will John or Pore should start over him because he has shown me nothing and has frustrated me throughout the season

I doubt either one of them would see the field to start. If Yura wasn't going to play I'd expect Morsink to slot in Davy's spot, and Davy slide up top with Eddie. But that's not gonna happen, Yura will likely be the starter.

It would also be nice if at least one or two are on goal and NOT directly at Reis. Our forwards made Sala look pretty good against FCD mainly by shooting right at him. Aim for the corners, boys!

What have Will John or Pore shown that makes you think they'll be any better? Pore was anonymous in the last game he played in and I don't think John has seen any pt with the first team yet this season.

I went to the practice today, and if I heard correctly, Marinelli will be subbing. Jose wasn't practicing at all so I doubt he will be playing. Nick wasn't practicing either, and when Onalfo announced the lineup (which I only heard bits and pieces of, as I was standing somewhat far away) I'm fairly certain he said Wahl as a starter. Eddie wasn't practicing due to a tight/sore calf but I would imagine he'll play. Scott was practicing, but I didn't hear his name in the lineup, although I might have just missed it. Judging by what I saw today my predicted lineup is as follows:

    ----------------Hartman
    Jewsbury---Hohlbein--Garcia---Wahl
    ----------------Zavagnin
    Arnaud-----------------------Harrington
    ----------------Victorine
    -------Yura(maybe Scott)-----EJ

Hopefully Jose plays I don't want to be facing NE with only 2 of our starting back 4.

Plus Jose's ability to get forward will keep Ralston busy defending instead of getting forward himself and trying to set up Twellman.

If that is the lineup, I'm kinda surprised they not just gonna drop Harrington back to LB, and play Morsink on the left.

I want him to play too, and I could be completely wrong, as it is only his shoulder thats injured, but from what I saw today it doesn't look that way.

I'm going to be there as well. Not so sure about this backline I see here. It could be a long day.

from what i saw so far....marinelli would be best subbing victorine.
in the torornto game when yura came in for victorine and marinelli was left behind the 2 strikers it made a lot more sense.(and 2 goals came fast)

If he comes in for Yura though a few things can happen, either he can play up top with Eddie, or you push Victorine to the right wing and put Davy up top with Eddie.

yura seems to have some sorta talent goin for him....he's like a bull(shame he's not 5-6 cm taller)....he just needs to learn the right movements and time his runs...victorine although versatile i think is kinda average player.
also i'd like to see Sealy play which u all seem to like...still haven't seen him play.
so far the players that have impressed me are Johnson and Harrington (both top player IMO).
also Conrad is good. Arnaud is decent.....

Here's hoping he lets the players decide the game on the field and calls the match evenly and insures that the play is clean and safe.

I also hope I win Megabucks

lol. Me too. Good luck with that.

All my positive comments were based on players returning period and not returning or out from midweek dings. I'm hoping for a draw. Hartman will have to rise to late 90's levels.

    Go Blue.

Sealy is very average doing some things, but makes a lot of good decisions, covers a lot of ground, and always seems to be in the right spot to clean up on a mistake from the other team around their goal.

He's got less potential than Yura to me, but is a more complete player right now.

My friend shared a flight with Peter Vermes and another member of the FO and was told that Jimmy, Nick and Jose would not be playing.

Good news was that my friend and his four family members are recieving free tickets to the doubleheader from Vermes courtesy of Mike Burns.

well if that's true, we're in for a really long night on defense I think.

So does Harrington drop to left back (with Morsink replacing him) and take Jose's place, while Hohlbein and Wahl take up positions in the center of the back line? Or does Raybould slot in at left back?

don't forget the game is at 5:30 central time tonight.

wow. this could suck really bad.

i also heard that ej had taken a knock and was questionable. hell, we might as well just throw out all rookies and reserves and consider this week a wash. imagine the perception from the rest of the league if our reserves and young pups could bag even a point in new england.
