OK, Conference opponent, 3 points is stealing 3 points from either side. Little People, Big World Twellman leads the league in bulging the ol' onion sack and doesn't appear to want to let up. That is until he faces the likes of Nimmyk Garcirad back at full strength. The two headed monster that shall shun all those who oppose them into nil-land. Gato the keeper of the cave will be there to roll the decapitated skulls that tumble in back out the to the Juice and Jr for them to play with.

I'd expect to see a 60 minute White Marinelli roll his Dragula out against all takers only to see them get dusted as they watch his wingmen Davey "Goose" Arnaud and Michael "Mav" Harrington buzz thier tower without going into a flat spin. Never mind that Eddie and Scott should still make quick business of those the likes of that measly Michael Chumphurst and company. Leaving them only to quickly don their blast shields to lessen the glare of that massive shiny white dome of Reis so that they can hit their target of less than 3 (wamp rat) meters. Expect Han Zavagnin to ensure that no trouble can come about from the tail end of the attack.

Yahooo, now let's win this thing and go home.

    Wizards 2-0

Kudos to the various in-jokes and roving movie references.

I'm going more conservative for my pick:

1-0 Wiz (if fully staffed and Marinelli gets a start)

1-1 if Conrad, Sealy, and Marinelli start the game on their duff.

    Yes Juice is catching on!:)

I deserve complete and total credit. As it is my intellectual property.:D

Working on nailing down specifics. Unless you hear otherwise, plan on the Leawood 810 Zone.

This should be a good game, hopefully everybody is ready to go. If everyone is healthy this could be the first time we get to see Marinelli, Sealy, and EJ all on the field together. I can't wait for saturday.

In keeping with the movie theme...

Now witness the firepower of this fully armed and operational soccer team!

I noted this on our boards ... hadn't realized it had been that bad on our end.

I probably won't make it home from work until around 5:45. Hopefully I'll be able to watch the second half.

well that's interesting, course, Dallas hadn't won in KC since 99 when they came and played us a few weeks ago either.

This one is entirely dependent upon whether Conrad, Sealy and Marinelli play. If all three do, then I feel we can win... otherwise I'd be happy with a point.

I definintely have quite a bit of confidence for this game if we can field Marinelli and Conrad at least.

Sealy would be great to have.

    Here's food for thought:
Is it possible that as we get closer to Nat play that the likes of Twellman, EJ, Cooper and Ching will be playing a bit harder to win a starting position for the Gold Cup and/or Copa?

Might be a good contest between EJ and Twells.

Actually I've always found the opposite to be true, (and especially with these two tournaments coming up) that players tend to play not to get hurt just before camp. The consequences of the additional (on top of their league pay) bonuses via USSF being lost much less the experience and exposure of it all is a pretty big risk by getting dinged by some 3rd string thug in league play. With these two tournaments the player pool will be huge for camp and most have probably already been selected, it's just a matter of staying healthy to get there. The starting position will be won in camp I think, not necessarily you last league game before camp.

Expect anyone with a ding to sit or sub and 1st stringers to play hard until the last 30 minutes when they start thinking about such things of "I've made it this far, let's dont' do anything stupid"

    My opinion of course.

That definitely makes sense. I never thought about it that way.

If this is a Death Star reference, I hope we don't meet the same fate! :p If it is the same fate, then Taylor "My Shorts Are Too Tight" Twellman will probably be Luke Skywalker. I think we have kept him bottled up pretty well recently from what I recall, but doing so depends on Jimmy's health!

I don't have the stats, but i know Twellman likes playing Hartman. I also think KC will put a barrage of shots on net this week. They have been middling to average of late and have probably done some extra shooting work...I hope.

Conrad out 2-3 weeks, Sealy out.

2-2, unless Harrington has a blinder and Marinelli is fit.

I know when we were in the security line at the airport coming home Sunday Jimmy was saying that he'd gotten hit yet again and wasn't sure what the outcome would be.

on his radio show tonight he mentioned that he's probably out this weekend, and only penciled in for this weekend. It was hard to hear at that time inside 810 though. He also mentioned being out for the Gold Cup.

When I was talking to Kerry after the game Saturday, he said Jimmy tweaked his hammie and that's why he came out...

    Fark.

The Wizards are dropping quicker than the cauldron at a supporters match.
