Haven't posted there regularly in years. I do recall Jim Goloboy as being one of the people who used to come up with bizarre defences as to why the Gold Cup isn't a crock of a tournament. Anyway, like most "old timers" over there I stopped posting because it became completely dominated by an extremely bitchy English woman (lol).

2 seconds it's took to kind of read your post but I gather you're bitter. Did I offend you at some point?

I continue to attack the messenger becuase in the course of a few pages you've used a denegrating slur against they phyically disabled more than once, even after asked not to, and you posted the lamest example of a troll in a long time, which leads me to believe you've become nothing more than a wind-up.

I don't think you have a message. I think you like to piss, moan and banter. Which is fine. But in a public forum others get to piss, moan and banter back.

I have not noticed some great disolution of YA. I have noticed a 160+ post Davies in Hammerby thread with eyewitness accounts, wonderfully mangled swenglish and news and analysis not available on sky. I have noticed RichardL bring new vim and vigor to the post match report - even when his opions of Convey were not shared. I've noticed Neesken posting clips and negative assesments of Bease at PSV and still sticking around to poke into a Robles thread.

Basically, it's a lovely messy world that works fine for me. Guess it's not for everyone, although Jaypro seems not to be able to get off the weed.

According to your post it's mostly foreigner's in YA forum bringing useful news and analysis to the table. Thanks for illustrating my point regarding the ability of Yank fanboys to add anything useful to the discussion. I subscribe to the Davis thread (and stated this a couple of pages ago) because it's one of the only threads worth reading in YA due to the amount of Swedish fans posting news and analysis. Maybe it helps that Charlie is performing well rather than Gooch who has struggled but regardless it's a good thread because it hasn't gotten overrun by fanboy dipshits.

Are you even paying attention to what's going on or are you to busy trying to insult people and be funny to realize that you've helped me prove my point? Richard L, Neeskens, and Hammerby (all non Yanks) supporters all bring something interesting to the table. Let me know when you, Superdave, Golazzo68, thedude83 and Dark Knight for that matter can actually post something that doesn't reek of a novice's Yank man crush.

A search on the word spazzo reveals 680 threads with at least one usage of the word. Only about a quarter are threads on World Rivalries. And yet of all the usages of the word by a multitude of posters, you choose to get bent out of shape by my two usages in this thread  And I said messengers, btw.

And just imagine how much more interesting YA could be if a bigger range of input was welcomed to that forum. When the opinions of jri are valued more highly than those of some Newcastle fans who actually saw Onyewu play, you've really got to wonder about the objectives of the moderation.

Jay, you made your point. YA isn't for you. So really it's a win-win.

I could care less if all the most interesting posters were from the Galapagos Islands. I could care less if they were all conjoined quintuplets from Chad. They post. Others respond. No one is banned. World's aren't turned upside down. An entire fan-based diaspora is not sent into frothing convulsions.

Who cares if I post of something that doesn't "reek of novice Yank man crush?" There's nothing in the TOS prohibiting man crushing. (and remember, "Fanboy" is the "man crush" of the new millenium. Why do the biggest jackovs always revert to gaysmack the quickest? Rhetorical, that.)

Look, you are agrieved. It is awful. Sad even. But we must, really, get over it. Soldier on. Tally ho! Remember the Blitz! and all that.

It funny, because as a whole the complaining NUFC fans have no sense of humor, but are exceedingly funny. Odd how that works.

I dunno M, judging from the posts I've seen, with or without moderation you'd have been voted off the island - and I don't think you'd have it any other way. If you recall, I used to defend you on the YA boards back in the day, but it's pretty clear that, like an aquarium fish after a food spill, you were going to keep eating until you exploded - no matter who was moderating. In my professional opinion, you have the Bigsoccer version of a YA deathpostwish! DK or no DK. (That will $225, thank you - and no, we don't bill insurance.)

All very entertaining but a complete non-sequiter to what I wrote!

Ah grasshopper, you simply don't see the narrative threads, hanging like spiderweb, dewkissed in the Tongan jungle dawn...

Well ok, so I don't every really read what you write, I just cut and paste from my fanboy hymnal so sometimes it's bound to happen. But you got to admit, it's a psychologically sound post.

About as sound as Onyewu's defending, I suppose... in other words, frequently up shit creek without a paddle :)

But my posts only look bad because of poor moderating and weak other posters. I don't care how massive or what sort of brilliant history this thread used to have, now it's just a poorly run pretender to thread-dom. It's at risk of being moved to USWNT N+A.

If I was on a thread with some good supporting posts and an adminstrator who wasn't trying to moderate as well as administer and didn't have his head up his yingyang and had some money for real server upgrades I'd be poster of the year and be sold to the Chelski forum in no time - I just know it!

Not bad - 8/10 - good to see you trying to inject some humour rather than droning on about the use of the word spazzo!

Fail we might, but try we must. Heck, I'll take an 8.

(To be fair, Nancy did give a fairly compelling reason to stop using said word and an neutral observer might posit you continue to use it just to be ... well, you know...)

I don't know, if it was so compelling you'd have thought she would have been complaining about the thousands of prior usages of that term on BS. Then couple this with the fact that she came to this thread specifically to attack me...

Well what do you want. You're banned from YA, we darn well can't attack you there. Sheesh. You know how inconvenient it is to have to track you down to attack you? You never think of us, you know.

I'm an American I just don't happen to be a spazzo man crushin fanboy. I support Newcastle United because I met some Geordies in Germany during my Army service in the early 90's and fell in love with the club after hearing so much about them from my new found friends. Also I watch a lot of MLS because I want our homegrown league to succeed and help make the USMNT become better. I just don't feel the need to list every team I like in my profile and yes I get called eurosnob quite a bit but really who cares?

It sucks that YA can't be better organized to allow for both news/analysis and fan based threads but DK likes to keep the critical analysis out of the forum. Fine by me but if someone post inaccurate information don't cry when other posters take exception to that.

Gee, then maybe you should start a thread to complain about DK's moderation of YA?

Another quality post by a YA regular. What do you do when you're not building rockets and solving world hunger?

Well done DK your highly trained and educated YA army is spreading the reach of "Spazzo Nation" all over the interweb. :)

I can assure you I never, ever, ever cry about things someone posts on a soccer fan board. Not even a sniffle. I did shed a small tear for the incisive, witty and lyrical NUFC-skewering posts I had written that were removed after some Toon fans complained, but rhetorical genius, like life, is fleeting and if it is my destiny to have my best Newcastle-crushing material lost forever in on Al Gore's ethers, such is fate. And accept it with a stiff upper lip (because, unlike you, I happen to be British.)

I am personally looking forward to part two of this thread, to see all of the new perspectives and nuances of the issue as they emerge.
