Anyone have any information on Johnny O'Brien and Tony Sanneh.

Are they even going to try to play or did they retire?

    thanks

Sanneh was in talks with LA and NY but I think he still isn't completely over surgery he had in the offseason so both teams are waiting to see if he can come back.

    O'Brien's injured and Sanneh's old.

Tony Sanneh is 35 will be 36 on June 1st. Considering he is a defender and the fact that Preki, El Pibe & Lothar played in the MLS beyond their 39th BD's, I think he could probably still play a few more years.

When he finally got on the field last year he was great. The problem is that he's gauranteed to miss significant time each year.

Is there really ever a need to ask where John O'Brien is?

Yes. He could be on the stretcher, in the ambulance, or at the hospital.

Any updates on these two??? I noticed that Tony Sanneh isn't listed on the Fires roster.

Agreed. He played some very solid games down the stretch last year - but it took until then to do so.

Look, if Carlos Llamosa could come back last year and look decent doing so (and again make the Chivas roster for 2007), Sanneh at least has a chance. It all depends on how well he kept himself fit inthe offseason.

I was wondering the same thing about JOB. I would think that he would be able to offer something to any team in the league, especially an expansion club like Toronto FC. Maybe his price tag is too hefty though. Anyone know why Chivas declined his option?

Your kidding right? How many minutes...wait thats too generous...seconds did JOB play last season?

I can see a team taking a risk on him but hes gonna have a take a big pay cut. I don't see any MLS team paying him more then 50K a season.

And also on how much $ he's asking for. Llamosa I believe is $80,000 or so. Not sure about Sanneh, but I imagine he's asking for more.

They will both end up playing for Red Cross New York.

If Carlos Llamosa is still playing, then these guys can too.
