No. But he did get into the top 40 of Soccer America's internet poll on which players should make the World Cup squad - apparently by repeatedly voting for himself. Then he continually released his "being named one of the top 40 American soccer players" to the press, claiming that this put him in the national team player pool...

But did Conor ever play for the USMNT? I know that at one point in time, he was "nationally ranked".

There used to be a commercial that ran all the time on FSC for a kid's soccer product called-star kick which was basically a soccer ball attached to an elastic cord and at the other end of the cord there was a belt that went around your waste.

The prodcut allowed you to kick the ball and have it come back without having to chase it. The ad featured a cheesey testimonial to the product's greatness from a teenage player who was described by a subtitle that said "Conor, nationally-ranked."

There was never an explanation of what he was nationally-ranked in and it lead to a couple of long and humorous posts on Big Soccer. A few of the BS cyber-sleuths tracked him down and he turned out to be one Conor Chinn, who played youth soccer in SoCal for the San Diego Nomads, who were, in fact, a "nationally ranked" youth soccer team.

Conor even came on to BS to acknowledge his fans.

He has since moved on and is playing college ball at San Francisco, where he was a redshirt freshmen last fall and scored 4 goals and 3 assists in 17 games for a team that made the NCAA tournament.

wasn't Jordan Older on a youth US team? He may have played with Donovan as the "other" forward.

    I don't think so. http://jordanolder.com/about.html

    No.

The primary forwards with Donovan were Jordan Cila, Abe Thompson and off the bench quite often Bobby Convey.

I myself was a fan of Conor, but how can he be playing college ball? He should have lost his eligibility since he was paid for those kick-ass soccer commericals.

    He claims he wasn't paid.

I suspect the reason he didn't play as a true freshman was related to some sort of NCAA slap on the wrist for his career as a product sponsor. I noticed that starkick hasn't run those commercials - or any commercials - since Conor got to the age where he was looking at colleges.

Maybe Starkick should sign up Jordan Older!

No, Jordan older is tied up with Nike. Nike produced those Air Jordan shoes for him.
