Re: Japanese Abroad 2006-2007 [R] Good stuff. Nice to see him back in action with a bang. I hope his hair grows out soon though. Not liking this look too much.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2006-2007 [R] Shunsuke Nakamura played entire game for Celtic in their 2-1 victory against Hearts.

Re: Japanese Abroad 2006-2007 [R] I possibly agree, but can you say Suzuki even had the chance to prove himself in Serbia.....
Re: Japanese Abroad 2006-2007 [R] Its interesting because that was the year Marko Pantelic, Hertha's Bundesliga Top Goal-scorer, left Red Star for us, and I thought Suzuki would be his replacement...hmm. Well this year, for sure, he's had no chance because Ailton and some other guy I forgot his name.

Marinos sign with Red Star Belgrade FW Takayuki Suzuki. http://sportsnavi.yahoo.co.jp/soccer/eusoccer/headlines/20070119-00000010-spnavi-socc.html Colorado Rapids picked up Japanese player Kosuke Kimura in Thursday's MLS supplemental draft. He may become the first Japanese to play in the MLS.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2006-2007 [R] Colorado already has four foreign players on its roster, so breaking in could be difficult. A green card is probably not in the mix since he only played three years at Western Illinois.

Re: Japanese Abroad 2006-2007 [R] I saw a video of Shunsuke Nakamura and damn, he is amazing. He has great dribbling skills and a powerful shot! Look at how he bends his free kicks! He's a bazillion times better than David Beckham (most overated player on the planet) at free kicks. I love this guy, he's my new favorite soccer player. Too bad he had the flu during the WC.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2006-2007 [R] Well, I wish Miyamoto and Alex the best of luck in the Austrian side of Salzburg. Currently, at their pre-season training in Dubai. http://www.redbulls.com/soccer/salzburg/ VN
Re: Japanese Abroad 2006-2007 [R] nice. now Takahara has scored more goals in a season abroad than any other Japanese player. Nakata had the previous record at 10.
