Are matchups in FA cup picked by random draw or some other means? Also who gets to play at home, is that a random draw?

both are random draws. on monday the semis will be drawn.

No-one gets to play at home, both semi's are held at neutral venues. The venues always seemed to be award to Old Trafford & Villa Park (Aston Villa's ground). Which means Man U will definately be playing at Villa Park.
