Well I suppose if actually playing games helps us try more to build stadiums, then okay. Do we also have to win to build stadiums? If so, that might be asking a bit much. Play, win, and build a stadium? Woah, woah woah. Hold up, what do we look like-- the largest national government in the world with unlimited credit, the largest federal budget, and a few hundred million people? We can't be expected to do more than one, MAYBE two things at the same time. Let's just build a stadium and THEN get back to playing games.

My prediction for Sunday's game is 3-3, because both defense's suck. However, both offense's will be sluggish because it is the beginning of the season.

Re: D.C. United vs. LA Galaxy-3/22/09-3:00 PM I gotta agree with that one, it's a whole new season. Hopefully Crayton should be more settled in by now. We've aquired younger defenders, Gomez should help hold the ball up some, and I really thought Janicki played well in those few games last year. I think our defense will have a chip on their shoulder.

The way I look at it, Olsen's been there the whole preseason, so if there was something there that Tommy Soehn didn't like, he'd have waived him by now. I look at playing Olsen much the same way as Moreno: he may not be a 90 minute guy any more, but he's better serving the team at the start of the game to help control the ball and the tempo, and letting a speed-burner like Boyzzz sub in and run at a tired LA defense in the second half. At least, that's the thought going in...

Re: D.C. United vs. LA Galaxy-3/22/09-3:00 PM After watching DCU at the Carolina Cup....we're not ready for primetime. This team right now is about mid-level USL. I was shocked at the lack of quality I saw one game before the start of the season. I don't know what the question is to which McTavish and Burch are the answer. Gals win big and embarrassingly so for us.
