N.B. - I think this belongs here on the politics board, not on any of the soccer boards.

    How Soccer is Ruining America
A Jeremiad by Stephen H. Webb

Some choice lines from a new classic of the genre!
    Awesome!

    So doesn't this mean I'mtheNut's a decadent, America-hating Commie?

Soccer is a European sport because it is all about death and despair. Americans would never invent a sport where the better you get the less you score.

I wonder if this flesh-flap plays golf? The goal of golf is not to play.

    Re: Knutt's Awesomeness

Interesting political thesis here in play; I particularly like this nugget: "Soccer is a liberal’s dream of tragedy: It creates an egalitarian playing field by rigorously enforcing a uniform disability." Yet, sad as it pains me personally, I disagree fundamentally with this author's condemnation of the sport in question - actually America has lots to learn from soccer! What a shame, particularly on your account Knutt For Brains. Cause certainly anything Knutt For Brains likes I don't! Yet, in the redemption of the author's last statement, "my kids and I come home from a soccer game a very happy family," I too take solidarity. Knutt must have missed that part... I'm not surprised.

I can't believe I wasted a few minutes of My time reading that garbage. This article displays ignorance above anything else.

I wonder what kind of crazy theory he'll think of next? The Man should focus on Religion and Philosophy and not on mixing Soccer with Politics or with other subjects for that matter.

This article isn't as bad as the other one that I saw on this Website about how Soccer Players and Jihadist think alike. What will these People think of next?

Did the guy who wrote that ever realize that Tennis Players, Basketball Players, Swimmers and Rugby Players wear shorts as well?

Neither accurate nor clever. Trolls never are. He's either a troll or a bitter righty, and all that needs to be done is to marginalize or otherwise silence him.

I apologize for this previous post. I should have thought about something better to write.

If Soccer Players grab each other then, what about Football Players? Don't they grab each other and get on top of each other from-time-time? What about Pro-Wrestlers? They grab each other too ya know!

    Laughing at him's more fun.

    Is there an e-mail anywhere?

We could send him videos of Roy Keane tackles.

It''s also interesting he doesn't want to play with his children.Perhaps he's afraid he'd have sex with them.

PS:The site itself is interesting. After perusing a couple other articles on the site,I think the guy's a)serious and b) has no idea of the history of soccer.

We need to send him a Lazio shirt and tickets to the Rome derby to sit in the Roma stands.

It might not mimic childbirth, but he'll feel the pain then.

This was on another part of this site "soccer in America".

    I answered it

"This is what I think about that. To play our game you have to think a head before the ball (Pressure) get's to you not after.

You can take that idea, and use it in your everyday life. You will have a much easier life because you will take care of possible problems before they actually become real problems.

If we had former soccer players in the US Senate, and in our past presidents administration.

We would not have this trouble that were in now.

"liberal/leftist plot to destroy the fabric of America".
