Recently, I was given a Manchester United jersey. I don't know much (by that I mean I know nothing) about their jersey so I was wondering if anyone can tell me if what I have was ever worn by the team? I have searched the web and have not found any pics like the one I have. Basically, it looks like the 08-09 short sleeve away jersey I see for sale on the soccerpro.com website except the colors are different. It is mostly white but, instead of the blue and red collar, this one is a gold color with white in the front. The band on the sleeves is also gold and white. The Nike swoosh is stitched in black. The AIG logo is black with gold trim. The United logo patch has a black background with gold stitching around the edge. There is a black panel down each side under the arms which is about 4" wide and there is a thin gold stripe on the front side of the black panel and across the bottom. There is a "Nike Sphere Dry" label on the lower back. The tag inside near the bottom of the jersey says it was made in Indonesia for Nike European Operations in the Netherlands. I know it is a replica but did the team ever wear a jersey like this one?

if so, then yes. it was their away kit in 2006 and then last year i believe they used it as a 3rd
