This looks like a fun one.
I've got it, and it's a lot of fun. A lot of goofy fun, but fun nonetheless. This is almost what Red Card should have been, minus using actual players and goofed up so much.

I liked how the teams basically represent the different confederations - more like regions of the world, actually.

Quickie Breakdown (Have not unlocked any hidden characters yet) :
-- Toxic: American, Canadian, Native American. Best passers.
-- El Feugo: Mexican, Brazilian, Argentine. Well-rounded.
-- Tsunami: Japanese, Hawaiian, Australian. Best shooters.
-- Spirit, Kenyan, South African, Nigerian. Best defenders.
-- Sub-Zero: English, Russian, German. Most aggressive.
-- Volta: Italian, Frenchman (named Arsenault ), Scot. Fastest.

The game will never be confused with the high-end titles like FIFA or PES, but you may well have a hard time putting it down. This is a strength of Sega - they make games that are just flat-out fun to play. There's no such thing as defense besdes the sliding tackles or straight punches to get the ball. The goalies are generic, but can make some nice saves from time to time, which kinda makes me wish that they would have gotten an actual personality, but this is not a big deal.

(But if you ask me, Tsunami's GK can be beaten 10 times out of 10 near post. )

Bottom line, I bought it and I'm glad I did. Soccer fans on the whole may want to rent it first, but they may well end up buying it, too.
