This past winter in the NE just plain sucked. I would have thought my family moved out of Norway to escape the bad weather (guess we had bad kleather). One day in February, it was warmer on the surface of Mars than outside. But if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere.

About a 15 minute drive away from where he practices. Stadiums are about 15 minutes away also, but thats without traffic. Weather isn't too cold. In the winter it gets down into the 20's(F) or -1 to-7(C) on most days, but usually it isn't colder than that. Some days its a little colder. Only a few days during the coldest winters it even approaches 0-5(F) or -15 to -18(C). It snows a lot. As you probably already know, MLS uses a spring to fall calendar, so you wouldn't be playing during the winter unless your team advances far into the MLS playoffs which usually end at the beginning of December. I couldn't tell you how the winters compare to Oslo or Trondheim, but from looking at it on the internet, it looks like Oslo and Trondheim's winters are similar to New York's. New York's winters are very different from San Francisco. San Francisco's record low temperatures don't even reach the average temperature during the winter in New York. Portland's climate isn't too far off. Its a little warmer and rainier in Portland.

Just an FYI, but at the NYCFC supporters group meeting with NYCFC brass tonight, Mix was easily the most mentioned name. In a very brief private conversation with Captain America, I asked the admittedly loaded question of whether Mix would be our 8 or 10. He smiled and said rhetorically, "he can play all of them, can't he?" Even beforehand, when some public questions were asked regarding player personnel and specifically the desire to have a USMNT player on the team, there were multiple shouts for none other than Mix. My count of shouts for all other parties combined: zero. I definitely got the feeling from my talks with other supporters and with the supporter relations guy that Mix is at the forefront. Come on over, Mix. The weather is fine. I'd give it around 5 seconds before you became the face of the only soccer team in the greatest city in the world.
