What are your thoughts on saturdays match V Newcastle? After watching them V WHU midweek
I was unimpressed 1st half but the 2nd half....!!
I hope KK (and I'm sure he will) puts out a more attacking side,I thought they looked a bit like us,
great going forward but dodgy in defence & I'm sure we'll cause them more problems than West Ham.

I was excited to see some of the former PSG players (Benarbia, Distin, Anelka). Benarbia is everything I thought he would be. I used to read about what a great playmaker he was with PSG and I was surprised they let him go. This is the first time I have seen any footage of his play.

Distin exceeded my expectations. That kid has alot of skill.

Speaking of skill, Anelka has enough for everybody! His first touch is amazing, he had no problem getting past 2 defenders, he seems to see the field very well. He just can't hit the net. He had that problem with PSG and Liverpool (unless you want to consider the 5th goal against a demoralized Derby County kind of goal). Something like 24 appearances and 5 goals? OK for a mid, but not a striker. This is his time to prove he really is a striker. If he doesn't do it this year, he may not get another chance.

Huckerby was a monster! He was giving the Newcastle defense fits! While they were double teaming Anelka, he was breezing past his defender and creating chances in front of the net.

Imagine if Anelka can start scoring...Foe and Benarbia to feed them the ball...I think City will stay in Premier for awhile.
