Bayern coming to the US?
Anyone seen any German sources confirming Bayern coming to the US this summer? So far, I've heard FCB vs. MLS All-Stars in Coulmbus and vs. Man U in Chicago. Both of these games are reportly in late July.

As far as I know, as part of the Makaay transfer, Bayern have agreed to playing a tournament in La Coruna the coming summer. I don't know if this is confirmed, but if true I doubt the club would make two trips abroad.

Spain is only a couple of hours by plane, so I don't think that would be too taxing for them that they would also rule out a trip to the US.

According to mapquest, München to La Coruña is only 1410 miles and they're in the same time zone. Dallas to New York is 1570 miles and they are a time zone apart. Germany to Spain is not going abroad.

I emailed the FC Bayern website about this matter and the response was "there are no plans at the present time". I personally would love to see Munich on the Man U USA tour. And to play in Chicago would be even better!!!!

I've got neeeeeews for you! :-D
Normally I should charge something for good news like these! ;-)
------------------
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge of Bayern München today announced that Bayern will play a friendly on 25th of July 2004 against Manchester United in ???. The contracts aren't signed yet but there is a good chance that that will happen soon.

JONAM -- I love you, man!!! Your check is in the mail.
This is brilliant! Where did you find this source? Is it on the FCB website? Solider Field underwent an amazing transformation and is a brilliant venue for soccer now. Very close to the fans and not a bad seat in the house. Yes, it is a football stadium, but it is deserving of more soccer matches there.
You made my day, mate! CHEERS!!!

Thanks for the link Jonam. I could understand only a little, but got the message.
There is another thread on this board talking about the MLS All-stars playing against someone big. Suspicion is either Real Madrid, Man U, or Bayern.
Could be interesting. I think in Philadelphia.
