Default Harley now 3rd choice

Makes you think that Bates, Hutch and Ranieri knew what they were doing last summer when they sold Harley:

Fulham boss Jean Tigana has revealed he is willing to let former Chelsea defender Jon Harley go out on loan. The £3.5m signing has made just five league starts for Fulham since arriving at the club in September 2001. Rufus Brevett has been keeping him out of the side and Harley has had to settle for a bit-part role. Harley, who is desperate to get some first-team action, has now slipped further down the pecking order after the arrival of Pierre Wome.

"I already have Rufus as a left-back and with Wome in the squad we now have the possibility to send Harley on loan," Tigana revealed. Harley will either have to move to a Nationwide First Division club or move abroad as players are not allowed to join other Premiership clubs on loan. With Harley off the wage bill it may open the door for Tigana to make another move in the transfer market.

We got 3.5 mil for someone who is now the 3rd choice left back at FOOLHAM? Sounds like good business to me. Facts are facts, and he was never better than Le Saux or Baba. I'm glad our management looked past the "English homegrown youngster" hoopla to see that he just wasn't good enough to cut it here. We have better youngsters coming through now.

Hopefully he will turn it around, I'm sure most Blues still wish him the best. He never said a bad word about us, he just waited for his opportunity to play. He thought he would get it down the road and it turns out he will have to go even further to find it.

Pity that.He seemed like a likeable enough young fella.
Still remember him for that goal he scored in our 1-0 win at Elland road a few seasons back.

If he could find his way to one of the sides in the runing for promotion i would think he would take that over a move to the continent.

Still, we came out of it alright.
