The Climb Into 4th
I've been watching the Saints steadily climb the table this year - as an American watching the EPL for the first time this year, I thought I would latch onto one of those BIG clubs, but they have really caught my attention. Beats is great - seems to have a fun attitude and Ormerod has come on. I really don't know much about a lot of players - any info on Ormerod? Is he the real deal?

There's a great email list on Yahoo Groups for the Saints. If you'd like to follow them really closely, I'd suggest giving that one a try.
Southampton is a fun club to follow. Up until recently they've been really good at pulling off narrowly avoiding relegation. The Dell was beautiful but just to small to generate the $$$$$$$$ needed to do well. They had something like 3 out of 11 years in the premeirship (keep in mind the premeirship was created in 92 or so) where they literally avoided relegation on the last day of the season.
As for Omerod, I think he's good but I still don't buy into him being a premeirship striker than can produce on a regular basis. I'm more excited at the return of Pahars + Strachan being willing to use a 4-3-3 with guys like Prutton in there. Prutton is definitely one to watch.

I'd also go to http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/ for more info on the club, the roster, and to buy a Saints Pride of the South scarf!

Also, congrats on following a side other than the ManU or Arse!

Thanks! I will look out for Prutton -
As far as following the Saints, I've been following the Fire since the start, but have just recently gotten Fox Sports World - without it, or dish, etc., there's no way to get games other than the MLS. I realized that though I can pretty much watch any game, it sure helps to start rooting for someone.
When it's not the best team in the league, you have something to shoot for and really get behind.
Rough result agianst Fulham, but Monday should be interesting. The Saints seem up and down - I'm looking for an "up" against the Gunners!
