itll be interesting to see how many more players see red after having some sort of run in (legitimate or not) with cole. hes building himself quite a track record, isnt he.

Calling it now: Keane or A.Smith will retire Cole if either man's team suffers a red to his diving. And if Cisse doesnt take him for a real red on his return...

Building a track record helped by the media. I'm not saying that Cole is completely innocent of anything, but many other high profile players go down like rent boys all the time and no big deal is made about it. Anyone watch Shearer yesterday 'draw' that free kick outside the box?
This the same ref, IIRC, that gave Bergy a red card in the FA Cup against Liverpool for a bad challenge even though DB10 didn't touch the other player. The ref said later it didn't matter that he didn't touch him, it was the intent that matter. Senior refs backed that interpretation in the Cisse case too, saying it was right to give him the second yellow because of intent.

Well the biggest thing is that Mr. Cole is a DEFENDER, not a striker, and I know this shouldn't play into it, but it does. People have almost grown to expect some strikers to flop around a bit, same for the attacking midfield type, but not from the defensive type.

Yes, a yound defender at that...I'm starting to think that catching endless stick about every ************ up is part of the hazing of making the national team as a defender...but did Sol ever get spoken on to the extent that Ashley Cole and Wes Brown do?

FA could charge Cole over Cisse incident
The FA may investigate Ashley Cole for his part in Aliou Cisse's red card at Highbury, after referee Mike Riley ruled that it should be overturned.

Already this shite starts. Just because your paranoid doesn't mean there not out to get you I guess. Personally, I did think that the 2nd yellow was harsh. It was a foul and a free kick was deserved. As for Cole diving, thats rubbish. He isn't as tough as Adams was, or Keown still is. He doesn't take the knocks as well. Even Cisse claimed that Cole didn't try to get him sent off.

It is highly unlikely that the FA will investigate Cole. You have to consider the source and that article is just someone trying to get more hits or buys.
Personally, I think Cole could stay on his feet better at times. I didn't see this incident because I had to work all day Sunday, but it seems to me it would be a silly time to try and draw a card on someone. Late in a match that you are dominating and not being in an attacking position. And Cisse himself has says he didn't think Cole was acting. It just sounds like another case of a Premiership ref doing a bad job, which is par for the course. The rescinding of the card just makes it look worse in my eyes because of the inconsistency in Riley's interpretation of intent.

That story has appeared on a number of websites...
Not sure why you think Ananova isn't a credible source.
