Default Dwayne DeRosario traded to Toronto

(Mod Note: Thread was merged when news became official. See http://toronto.fc.mlsnet.com/news/te....jsp&team=t280)

It could be nothing, but Bernardo Fallas points out that the "round table" was called by Chris Canetti who normally deals with "everything personnel-related."

Fallas said he got the impression that the team might "have something to announce or discuss."

It could be nothing, but you might want to keep an eye on http://blogs.chron.com/soccer/ this afternoon...

The CONCACAF CL draw just happened. It just could be that he's the only one working in the office this week.

True, but the paper already reported that and it's really a press release only type of story.

I'm going for DeRo to Toronto for Brian Edwards and a partial allocation

Meh. It's December. We have to entertain ourselves somehow. And, this is as interesting as it will probably get today.

Maybe Houston has signed Sigi Schmid, then traded him to Seattle for future considerations in order to get around Columbus's tampering charges.

I hope Seattle did change their minds about Sigi due to the drama and take Spence instead. Ugh...I hate this. I can be all optomistic during the season about things, but off season always fills me with dread.

Oh, that would be fun. I still like mine better, though

*cough*

Anywaaaay...

Yes, it's standard P.R. to issue bad news press releases late Friday. I'm telling you: DeRo to Toronto for Mo Johnston and the right's to Andrea Lombardo. There will be joy-filled riots in Toronto...
