Views from da street(R) Ipswich Town's demolition edition
Perhaps the 6-1 destruction of Leicester City is a sign of things to come from the Tractor Boyz. The victory by Town has set the mark for what they'll hope to achieve in the long season to come. Manager George Burley has made it clear that he has high standards for his side. He's hoping for 100 goals this season and they are well on their way to that achievement. With 8 goals in two games, its definitely possible. I hope Norwich has taken notice because on Sept. 15 (I'll be there as well) they will feel the wrath of the Tractor Boyz.
The rest of the First Division better bring their A-game when facing Ipswich Town, as they've layed down the challenge to every other club they'll face. With their large crowd support behind them and their obvious Premiership quality within the side, things are looking up for Ipswich Town Football Club. A long season is ahead of us though. Next on the fixture list is away at Millwall's New Den on the 24th. Now on paper I'd have to say that it's going to be a very tough game but I don't see why we can't cruise to a comfortable victory in this one. Lets see how the gaffer arranges the line-ups as they have a meeting with Bradford at home just two days after. Lets hope for a string of good results, we definitely belong in the Premiership and the boys in blue will continue to show that by outclassing some of the First Division mainstays.
Until next time from DA Street, i'm out.

This whole post sounds like it's a combination or regurgitated press releases and news quotes cobbled together by someone thousands of miles away from Portman Road who desperately wants to sound informed and to hang his hat on any good news he can find but actually has very little clue about either his own club or the competition they will face in the First Division. As such, there's not an awful lot for anyone to respond to. Yup, Ipswich are the best side in the First Division (probably), but if you have nothing informed to say or moreover nothing new to add to what everyone already knows then why bother with a post that amounts to little more than thoughtless, second-hand attempt at public masturbation?
I doubt the street from which you offer your view is one from which Ipswich Town can readily be seen.

Who are you to speak for everyone else?
I thought members at bigsoccer had the freedom to give reactions to recent happenings of the club that they support? I have to say that the rant wasn't needed at all. Who are you to question my overall knowledge of the division?
If you felt way about my post, rather than coming at me with insults, find another way to perhaps give more of a useful opinion of someone's views of the game. I'll admit that some of my comments were a bit half-assed by taking a one sided view of things and i'm wrong for that. Next time i'll come better with something more "informed" or something new to add.
Thanks for "keeping it real" but it could've done without the insults.

Anyone can indeed say what they want on BigSoccer, and I don't challenge your right to write whatever you want. I merely express the views I hold in return.
INFORMED soccer debate is interesting...but writing what amounts to a cheeleading piece about your own team is not interesting at all and, frankly, it annoys me when people do this. You will find that my own view involves either avoiding writing my team altogether or, when I do (in the appropriate thread), I try very hard to be critical and objective about them, so others if they choose to read about Palace can learn something they otherwise would not know about what's going on at the club. Of course, I could just say "Palace are great, we're the champions elect", but what'd be the point of that?
I'll talk first division football with anyone who has something objective to say, and since few people do talk about it here, when someone may be interested I'm afraid I'm quite critical about trying to raise the standard of the debate.

Gotta admit. There isn't much going on here in the way of football banter.

Adding, as ever, a bit of quality and insight to the debate, Ronald. Still, that's the most sensible thing you've had to say about football for a while now so I suppose we should be grateful for that.
