Default McBride to Blackburn

What does everyone think of the McBride to Blackburn rumors? http://www.skysports.com/skysports/a...113119,00.html

I think he is too old and he wouldn't be a good buy. McBride probably won't accept another loan and it doesn't seem smart to pay for a 31 year old striker. He is very good at headers, but I don't think it would be smart to buy him.

If we can loan him for the rest of the season, that would be great, but I don't think that will happen.

I also don't think it's a good buy. A loan for the rest of the season would be great, but other then that no. He's too old, and going down hill, we need some younger players.

??? You guys need to buy something. This isn't last season and you SOLD the young guys. I hope you guys do better, but I think he is a good buy for two seasons or so. I mean your right, he's older and I wouldn't sign him for five years or anything, but you would be lucky to have him.

Default Bye bye McBride...

Looks like Fulham's nabbed him.

I don't think Rovers need a striker anyway. I saw them against Man City on the weekend, and they were fairly solid at the back (surprisingly), but Yorke and Cole were isolated up front, and that doesn't work for them at this point. With a bit of help from midfield, they could still be a decent strikeforce, though. Emerson didn't impress me at all (I thought he was supposed to be good?), and Douglass was invisible. I've seen Tugay play brilliantly, and he didn't this game. That left Flitcroft to drive the team, and he can't do it alone. The team probably needs another option for all three positions, but I would look first to putting some creativity in midfield.
