Did not see it, but from what I read, it didn't sound like I missed all that much, though apparently there were a couple of chances late that hit posts to keep the game even. A point is a point, but sooner rather than later, some of these draws need to become one goal wins. We're still in 19th place, and Leeds might just be showing signs of life after their performance today. I'd rather have one point than none, but if we don't want to lose touch with safety, we need to start pulling some matches out.

The bigger story coming out of this match was that a woman was injured during prematch festivities when an on-field firework misfired and launched into a family section of the stands. For anyone who has been to Molineux, the accident took place in the Billy Wright stand, and, according to the Express and Star, the projectile "narrowly missed" some Newcastle players warming up for the game. The woman escaped serious injury, though she did suffer facial burns, and a broken cheekbone. 8 other people were treated for symptoms of shock, but there were no other major injuries. During a halftime press conference, Jez Moxey announced that the club would no longer use on-field fireworks. A full investigation of the accident is pending.

Sky's website (www.sky.co.uk) has some photos up and it looks like one just takes off along the center line and into the stands. One picture shows the firework shooting past a Newcastle player as he's heading onto the field. Apparently it was a windy day today in Wolverhampton, and this may have contributed to what happened.

Too bad Bellamy wasn't there to get the firework in the face.

*#*#*#*# result. Newcastle isn't that good and we should have taken the points but we were sloppy in the second half.
