Stoke City vs Arsenal Pre/Dur/Post Match Thread [R]
 vs
Competition: Premiership, Day 11
When: Saturday, 1, November 2008
K.O.: 0800 PST/1100 EST/1500 GMT
Venue: Britannia Stadium
After tonight's disappointing result we need to bounce back strong and though we shouldn't take Stoke lightly I expect nothing less than 3pts (a clean sheet would be nice too). Expect a few changes as well for next Wed's CL fixture against Fener. I'd say Rory Delap's throw-ins will be the most dangerous form of attack we'll come across on Saturday.
0-2

6-6
Arsenal to lead 6-0 going into injury time. Some boyo from Stoke takes a shot which deflects off 8 players and goes in, a real stunner. The big screen shows the replay 5 times. The ref allows those too.
Arsene says "I'm disapointed but we played fantastic football in order to lead 6-0. A little bit of leadership was lacking but overall i'm happy with the performnace but not the result." Pat Rice throws a shilleleagh at him.

But if we win the CL and/or PL this season, all is forgiven(Of course, also remaining top four)
The season is still long. Let's take it one match at a time.
