I use Knob Creek all the time for mixed bourbon drinks. If I'm drinking it neat, my bourbon of choice is Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve or Woodford Reserve.
Exactly. Based on my own experiments, I am a firm believer that Knob Creek tastes smoother and fuller than Bourbons and other Whiskeys that are three or more times more expensive. So why waste it. Use the cheap Jim Beam for mixing.
Same here, that's why I picked that photo. But mine isn't nearly that nice, I'm a cheap bastard. Hell, in my day we used an aluminum can! And we LIKED it!
I'm gonna put down some cash for a few bottles of good champagne. I'm going to drink one all by myself the moment Brian Williams calls the election.
"Jäger." (NSFW) I've actually never had Jäger and doubt I ever will. We usually have a bottle of bubbly on ice, we have a few cooling right now (JINX DISCLAIMER: I DID NOT BUY THESE FOR NOV. 4). So it will either be Veuve, Basil Hayden, Woodford or some Cabs we've been saving. Hopefully all of the above.
Hail Grimes? Cleveland steamer?? I obviously miss a lot of stuff by not watching tv (or many hollywood flix).
My lady and I will be drinking this: You can buy it with a red top layer if you are inclined to vote for the crazy old man and his mavericky side-kick. The Makers Mark website says the Democrat bottles are outselling the Republican ones, which makes my heart as warm as this is gonna make my gullet Tuesday night Red or Blue, we're all united in the same party ... the cocktail party
Chez BRF is on a tight budget, so I'll drinking whatever booze I already have on hand. Which means cheap blended scotch on the rocks. That's how I roll.
I'd heard alot about how great Belgian beers were, so a couple of weeks ago I got a six of Stella Artois. Thank God that shit is so expensive. I drink about once a month now, but if Stella Artois were cheaper, I fear it'd change to about once a day. Anyway, I'm gonna be drinking that. I've already decided.
I'll be tipping back a glass of this. My local liquor store turned me on to this stuff a few months back. Nobody in his right mind ever mentioned Stella Artois while talking about great Belgian beer.
