There's already a thread for 2006 so I'll be futuristic and post one for 2010.

I'm assuming a World Cup in South Africa - to me it isn't suitable (think of the opportunities for the already sky-high crime rate to soar) but it's what FIFA want.

By then, Africa will have done so well it will have an extra place, making 6.

DoyleG, since 2010 is a long way off and the stars of that year are still working on their 8th grade history homeworks as we speak, I don't have any solid basis to question your picks. But I am a bit surprised that from UEFA qualification you have put in Belgium and Austria but left out Turkey.

These teams went down to Turkey recently in somewhat scandalous ways..

Belgium 0-2 Turkey (Euro2K - first host ever to crash out of group stage)

Austria 0-6 Turkey (WC02 Qual Playoff - "...has someone ordered applestrudle?")
