Default Parker over Gerrard??

Haven't seen him play yet, but this article http://soccernet.espn.go.com/feature?id=282520&cc=5901 rates him very highly...could he displace Gerrard eventually?

Parker is the motor that runs Charlton. I think that he definatly deserves a shot. If you want to see him play, go to Charlton's website. They have about ten minutes of archived video highlights from their matches. It is all free and look for the person tracking back amazingly well, and pushing forward the attack. Parker is really good.

The video has been having problems lately, mabye it is better now.

Charlton has removed all video. It was costing too much to maintain. They also don't want to charge a subscription for it because they don't think it would be good value to subscribers.

Is Parker as good as Gerrard? Good question. Once I see Scotty play a few England matches I can then decide. They are both very similar players with one exception. Gerrard is deadly on set pieces. He takes a mean free kick. All in all, it really comes down to who meshes better with the rest of the squad.

Thanks. I wondered what was going wrong with my computer. I admire their commitment to not making the viewers pay for the video. But now I am without a vital link to the team.

It gets worse. They are considering dropping match commentary as well.
