Default Juventus - Like the Yankees without Yankee Stadium

Juventus are the New York Yankees of Italian soccer.
No doubt about 27 Championships, European Titles, the backbone of the 1982 World Cup champs, great players, like Platini, Screia, Gentile and Del Pierro.
Then why can't they draw more people to their stadium? I know the place has the atmosphere of the morgue etc. But I've got to believe that Real Madrid, The Yankees or Manchester United would never play in a 41,000 capacity stadium (the new Alp stadium projected capacity). What's going on?
