O.k., it looks like the Chivas thing is probably close to a done deal. So it seems high time to welcome this team that will probably be the only team in the league more despised than the Burn.

I for one am just getting started on a few nicknames, such as:

Las Cabrasquechupan
Team Viagra
McChivas, inc.
Los Guarani perdidos

This is sort of like the Yankees trying to start up a franchise in Alabama or something.

Haha, boy this is gonna be fun making fun of Chivas. I'm ashamed of being from San Diego because of them.

Chivas in the begining of the end for MLS. If MLS knows whats best for them, they will not let Americia buy a team. I dont want MLS becoming the younger sibling of the rest of the world to boost its popularity. This league needs its own footprint on world soccer, and other leagues wont help. We dont wana be looked at as anoter division of those leagues.

Lets see degrading nickname for Chivas - hmmm.... maybe they did it themselves already.

Yup goats is pretty bad.

Go San Diego Goats.

GO GOats!

I really hope the deal doesnt go through - just dont have a good feeling about this.

The only problem I have with the whole thing is waiting until 2005. You clowns have one more crappy season to bore us all with until you start getting your heads handed to you in '05.

And "Goats" is just fine. So shut up.

With the restrictions Viagra seems to want to self-impose on his future team, it'll probably be a long while before they're handing anything to anyone.

...aside from the keeper handing his striker the ball for restarts.

Thumbs down stupid

all i gotta say is that this whole Chivas thing is gonna be a complete joke. Those fuquin goats think we are a joke and they are gonna walk all over us. They are gonna be a mix of DC and DAL, a crap-hack team, leading the league in fouls commited and losses. i spit at this idea.

that stupid all-star game was dumb, denying so many decent players of playing in an all star game. they were named "all stars" but watched the game from home. rediculous. im so mad i cant even spell now. grrr

The only good feeling I have is for the Estadiums to have BETTER ATTENDANCE because all the "records" that the MLS has are low compared to other Leagues from other Countries......
On TV the Announcers will say that they have 1,000 people in attendance, but it looks like 100 attended.

I mean I love MLS and all but if Pele couldn't almost fully fill the Stadiums Chivas might....

And like I stated, MLS will be making MORE money instead of loosing it.....

Chivas USA will bring the type of passion to MLS that Section 8 does for the Chicago Fire. This is a good thing!

Nicknames...

MLS Cup Champions

MFL-2 USA Champs

Dynasty

Papa

Daddy
