That makes no sense for either team, unless there are more moves to be made.

FCD is cleaning house. This reminds me of early days of RSL. I haven't seen anything new from the newly appointed coach as yet. As far as Thompson, he's a very solid player.Good news for KC fans.

Doesn't KC have dozens of forwards now?

At least KC is trying to do something to increase their awful offense. When Jimmy Conrad is your leading scorer you have a problem. Gomez and Thompson are good players and they should really help.

Solid pickup by KC ... I can't help but think that the Red Bulls could've used someone like him.

Seems odd that they got rid of Sealy and now are pulling benched forwards from throughout the league. Wolff not panning out too much?

Nope. He was done years ago.

Sealy was traded because he's out of contract after this season and has made it known he's looking to go abroad.

Sealy's contract was done at the end of this year and had expressed "other" desires. Wizards got value out of him before they got nothing. That "value" they aquired was used to add Hercules Gomez 5 weeks later - so technically Colorado has Sealy's value at the moment and San Jose has a negotiation or a roster hole here sometime in the next 8 weeks.

And now we have Abe.

This move is solidifying our late game options as when we need to sub something offensively there was just absolutely nothing of any pedigree to choose from. At least with Abe and Hercules we got two stick your head in anywhere Forwards and it least make them foul you. Ryan Pore would just get bumped off the ball and play scared if he had anything more than one defender within 20 feet of him.
