Arrow TFC bids for another WC spot

The TFC will propose to FIFA their idea of a playoff match against Oceania for the remaining World Cup spot that has been taken away from the Tournaments Champion that no longer automatically Qualify's.

Though I wanted a fourth sure spot for Concacaf, I believe this is fair.

I think this is fair as well. Also, it will be more fair to Australia as well.

True that Australia has a better chance of Qualifying going up against Jamaica or Honduras than they would against a South American team like Colombia or Chile..

This is unlikely to happen as it merely replicates what Oceania (and Australia in particular) have been complaining about all along: that they have to endure the relative lottery of a single two-leg game in order to qualify. Either giving Oceania a direct qualification spot (a bad idea, imo) or merging Oceania qualification with Asia in some fashion are more likely outcomes.

How about two half slots for Oceania? One playoff with Asia and one with South America or TFC. That way someone (NZ) other than the Aussies has a shot.

Or a mini preWorld Cup of the half-slots. Final 2 of 4 (or 3 of 6) goto the worldCup.

2002 would have seen something like this:

Ireland
Iran
Hondurus
Australia
Paraguay
New Zealand(???)

And it should be played in the Country hosting the WC ie. Germany

I really like this idea. I think FIFA should seriously consider doing this at least once. I think it would be a pretty good money maker as well.

When FIFA meets in December in Spain Blatter will push for the empty spot(champion) to be directly awarded to Oceania. He made the statement, during conference in Kuala Lampur(either Ofc or AFC) that he would push for it but that there would be many upset and opposed to it. As many have said I would love to see Oceania in playoff v CONCACAF/TFC and think it is areal possibility since Upchuck Blazer and Jackass Warner gave support to Blatter during recent controversy. Guess I should give the two some credit for lining up a possible extra slot for TFC. If somehow we get passed over without even a real consideration then Fu+k Fifa esp. Blatter before asia gets a fifth slot Comnebol and CAF should be given or even straight up to NZ/australia winner. Sick of asia this and that. Yes they did well but so did Mexico and the Us in 94 when there were only 24 teams, sure we got an extra spot but hell 8 new teams and only 6 feds. you do the math we did not get any special treatment after 94 and our stadiums were always full. Nuff venting just hope the idiots who run this give everyone a fair chance without being biased. Too many politics involved in FIFA just do what is fair and stop playing i'll rub your back after you s"#k my crank.
