In a way I would like them to advance. If they don't get into the CL thats 1 less competition they have to worry about and then can focus more on the Premiership while Liverpool and Arsenal (and possibly Newcastle) have thier attention divided.

I think it would be freaking hysterical if ManUre crapped out. Doubt it'll happen, but if it did it would put a season-long damper on those arrogant b*stards.

Fergie handled the loss in typical style, whining about the poor pitch.

We're trying to make like Krusty the Clown and do things with a little class.

Sometimes we crow publicly and laugh openly at their misfortune, but we had enough of that last season.

Now we'll just snicker privately and be polite.

p.s. I also doubt they'll fail to win big at Old Trafford.

*squak* That is all *squak*

I agree with Andy. The more competitions ManUre stay involved in, the better for us.

If they lose, they'll be in the UEFA Cup. Not quite as many matches but a comp nonetheless.

This was my point.

I forgot to mention it.

United are still tied up in European competition no matter what.

It would just be a huge pleasure to see Ferguson and his charges "lower" themselves to play in something as insignificant as the UEFA cup.

And lets remember the icing on the cake is that the Champions League final is at the theater of schemes next May!!

Thumbs up

Say how's this for an extra chuckle.

Seems the Zalaegerszegi goalkeeper was former Charlton netminder Sasa Ilic.

He of the infamous 1998 first division playoff final.

This is getting to be too much!
