Default Goal of the Tournament? Argentina's Goal Versus Australia

Having watched Argentina's 77' goal against bunkered Australia it impresses me as one of the greatest goals ever. Certainly the best goal of the tournament so far -- and not likely to be equaled.

Yeah, it was an awesome goal.

It started at Argentina's defensive end with somebody booting the ball out of danger towards the left of midfield. Di Maria got to the ball, and made a nice one-time pass to Riquelme in the middle. Roman fought past some Australian players and had a one-two combination with Messi. As Roman entered the penalty area, three Australians crowded him, leaving Di Maria, who had accompanied the play from midfield, alone on the left side of the attack. Roman at the last moment found Di Maria, who flicked the ball to the right side of the penalty area, placing it perfectly for Lavezzi, who one-timed it into the lower left corner of the goal, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance.

Argentina always seems to score some of the best goals. Now if they can only win a world cup xD

Giovinco's goal vs Honduras was nice also

I agree that Lavezzi's goal was better though, the build up itself was great. Good ol Napoli boy

I really liked the Anichebe goal with the cheeky one-two-three, where Obinna and Odemwingie were involved.

I think it was the first Nigeria goal you are talking about where Obinna scored. That was some very nice combination play in the box, and very quick too.
