Rob Edwards
Signed from Wolverhampton Wanderers, he has signed a two year contract with an option for a further year for an undisclosed transfer fee rumoured to be between £200,000 - £275,000.
Born on 25 December 1982 in Madeley, Shropshire. Current age 25. He is 6ft 1in and plays as a defender.
Edwards started his career at Aston Villa, making his debut for the first team in December 2002. During his time at the club he spent two short loan spells at Crystal Palace and Derby County. He made a total of eight league appearances for Aston Villa in the Premier League.
In July 2004 he signed for Wolves, and played in the clubs first four league games following their relegation from the Premier League. However, an ankle injury kept him out for six months. In May 2008 he was placed on the transfer list by Mic McCarthy. He made a total of 100 league apperances for the club, scoring one goal.
Although born in England, Edwards qualified to play for Wales, as both his parents are Welsh. He made his debut for Wales in March 2003 against Azerbaijan. He has 15 caps so far for his country.
