Default Zeshan Rehman profile

Zeshan Rehman

Signed as part of the deal that took Kaspars Gorkss to QPR. He has signed on loan until 1 January 2009 with Blackpool having first option to either extend the loan period until the end of the 2008-09 season or sign him permanently.

Born on 14 October 1983 in Birmingham. Current age 24. He is 6ft 2in and can play as a centre back, defensive midfielder and right back. Although his preferred postion is centre back.

Zesh Rehman attended Fulham's Youth Academy and signed his first professional contract with them in 2003. After making his Fulham debut in the League Cup against Wigan Athletic in September 2003 he was loaned out to Brighton & Hove Albion on loan for three months, making 13 appearances and scoring two goals.

He made his Premier League debut with Fulham in April 2004 against Liverpool at Anfield. He went on to make a total of 30 appearances for Fulham and also spent a short spell on loan at Norwich City where he made five appearances.

In 2006 he moved across London to Queens Park Rangers, where in his first season he made 27 appearances in a season in which QPR struggled to avod relegation to League One. He ended the season back on loan at Brighton.

He returned to QPR for the 2007-08 season making 21 league appearances.

Rehman played for England at Under-17 and Under-20 level but chose to represent the country of his parents, Pakistan, when it became obvious he would not play for England. He made his debut for Pakistan on 7 December 2005 in a South Asian Football Federation Cup match against Sri Lanka in Karachi. He has made six appearances for Pakistan.

He was the first Pakistani international, as well as one of the first British Asians, to play in the Premier League.

He has his own website here -
