all in all - not too bad

we outclassed our second straight team. Yet could have done better. Sounds like we need some confident finishing - and we'll be contenders.

Dang. Should have won.

Out shot them 17 to 9
Shots on goal 9 to 5
Corners 8 to 3

4 points in 2 games. I guess I can live with that.

It was a freaky ending, according to the QPR live commentary. As the end of regulation approached, the commentator couldn't tell if Gallen was being given a second booking. Right after that, and supposedly with some seconds left in normal time and with the assistant referee yet to raise the board for the amount of injury time, the referee blew the whistle ending the game.

QPR's full match report isn't up yet, but the one on thisislondon.co.uk lists only Gallen's first yellow (16th minute), so I assume he didn't get another and is available for selection this weekend.

Things did get chippy toward the end, seeing the R's receive four yellows overall (three from the 80th to the 86th minute) while none went to the home side.

Here's the match report from Alternative QPR (which also mentions the early whistle/lack of injury time):

Good start, R's!

There was no second yellow for Kev. No problems for him Saturday.

Thanks. I didn't see it in any of the match reports, so I assumed it worked out OK, but it certainly gave me pause when the commentator said he thought he might have been given a second booking!

Also, here's another match report:
