So who you think we should sign next? A new CM or another striker? Maybe a winger? One who can get down the line, beat people 1 v 1 with bags of pace and then whipping a money cross into the box right before they reach the touchline.

I would like a winger or an actual tall target striker who can score with his head.

How much money do we have, because these people sound expensive?

Depends on where you go shopping my friend.

A great question as well is how much is Wolff making? If we knew that and how much we got for Scott then we could have a ballpark figure.

Re: The offical "Who are we signing next?" thread

Using my (very) in-exact salary calculations from before, we had anywhere between 400k to 800k before acquiring Wolff (depending how much of an allocation we got for EJ, and if all or just part of Myers/Espinoza's salary are covered by the league as GA players).

I would guess 100k to 150K for Wolff the rest of the season, and a minor allocation from the Sealy deal (50 to 75k). So we should have somewhere between 300k to 700k left in cap space/allocations. That is plenty to get another Lopez level player and pay them down below DP level using the allocations (ie Schelotto in C-bus).

Maybe we can insert ourselves in the middle of the Frank Lampard saga. We'll take him for the rest of our season, and then he can go to Inter in January. Abramovich and The Special One can sort out the transfer money in the meantime.

    :D

They have a couple of very good Argitinians, but I really doubt it.

I really wish I had went to practice today. I was out and about and debating whether or not I should go to practice or come home and get some work done.

Think I will be there tomorrow.

You realize that article is almost 3 years old? He's on grandfathered DP money, and not worth that anymore. No reason to have two guys on the roster that aren't worth DP money.

You realize that article is from The Onion? Don't think he was trying to suggest a move was being made.

Yeah but he played like shit in blue that's no help to us.

Seriously though I don't care what position they play as long as they put the ball in the net consistently.

Nobody has thrown out one of the most obvious names, so here goes: Jay-Jay Okocha. He's been linked with MLS for some time. IIRC Columbus and New England were both close to signing him. After helping lead Hull City to promotion, he was released and is currently a free agent.

Along the same lines, Edgar Davids is also available. And let's not forget we were linked to Jared Borgetti not that long ago.

    Ante Razov please.

Man, actually, I really don't care. I just want some name that I've heard of that I can be really excited about.
