I was reading up on the US's u23 olympic players on wikipedia this moring and on Holden's page it says that Blackpool's manager is "monitoring" him. I know wikipedia isn't the most reliable source, but I was wondering if any of you had heard anything about this?

Thats a new one, not seen him linked with us before. With wikipedia, if content is sourced then it will be based at least on something. However, looking at his page on there, the comment about Simon Grayson monitoring him was added in mid-June but without any source, so nothing to really say it is true.

Blackpool have been linked with a lot of players this summer, and have s far signed six players with another 2 or 3 expected. I thought he was doing ok at Houston though too.

Don't think Houston fans would be too happy to lose him, but in all honesty I can't see him leaving them and coming to us.

I thought it was pretty fishy with no source being cited. Plus, the move wouldn't make much sense because he just earned a consistent starting spot with the Dynamo. He would be thrust into a position were he would have to earn minutes with a new team, and he'll miss almost a month with olympic duty. Thanks for the clarification.

Aye no worries, must admit from what I've seen of him playing for Houston (on mlstv and then on what little MLS is shown on UK tv) he would be the sort of player we need. But he has also established himself with Houston and I doubt he would move here! We had a Spanish player, Arnau Riera on trial last week from Sunderland, supposedly for a week. However, after three days in Blackpool he left the UK and returned to Spain to look for a club there!!!
