Somewhat out of the blue: ST JOHNSTONE boss Derek McInnes is weighing-up a move for former American-born Polish Under-21 star David Topolski. Link: http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/...s-pars-deal-for-keeper-callum-86908-20639542/ I assume that should be "American-born former Polish Under-21 star..." but hey, anything's possible...
On the 13th, a report said: St Johnstone needed a late equaliser from new signing David Topolski, the former Poland Under-21 full-back, to rescue a 1-1 draw at Montrose, who led through John Baird. Link: http://sport.scotsman.com/sport/Annan-expect-raft-of-new.4283997.jp But a day later, he was downgraded: St Johnstone are likely to make up their minds this week as to whether they'll offer signing terms to former Poland U/21 left-back David Topolski (writes James Masson). He impressed in the closed doors win over Hibs and in the 1-1 draw at Montrose, scoring Saints’ equaliser. Saints boss Derek McInnes said, “He’s lacking fitness, but he’s eager and has shown he has ability. We’ll see what happens.” Link: http://www.eveningtelegraph.co.uk/output/2008/07/14/story11651625t0.shtm Doesn't appear to be on the squad yet: http://www.perthstjohnstonefc.co.uk/playerbios.php
From a couple of weeks ago. Not listed on any recent friendly rosters or elsewhere on their website since. So I assume he will not be a part of St Johnstone.
Haven't followed up yet, but: QUEEN OF THE SOUTH signed former Clyde striker Gary Arbuckle and defender Michael McGowan on one-year deals minutes before Tuesday's friendly with Queen's Park. Queens are also interested in Polish full-back David Topolski, 24, who was on trial at St Johnstone. Link: http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/...rts-city-in-swoop-for-bellamy-86908-20668456/
Don't suppose anyone knows Polish and can take a swing at seeing whether there's anything useful in this article? Link: http://miasta.gazeta.pl/poznan/1,36006,5569305,Baniak_chce__zeby_Warta_nie_zyla_tylko_o_wodzie.html
It isn't known, if (or) david will run away on sports field in (to) Opolu Topolski, which (who) complains of breaking. Surely they will not play new acquisitions round Łukasz Adamski and Benjamin Imeh, they have not been approved (validated) which (who) for game else. This is a translation I received. Doesn't really shed any light on the subject.
He is listed on the squad for this team: http://www.tur-turek.pl/index.php?go=kadra2 http://www.tur-turek.pl/index.php?go=david_topolski
I just got an email from David via his youtube.com link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMME5FZ7jVg "i play in Tur Turek 2nd division Poland trying to to get my career back on track after shoulder and knee injury,Maybe will move to the mls in january next season cheers"
This guy's actually with the indoor New Jersey Ironmen now. http://www.njironmen.com/ His team bio: Toploski first played alongside Omid Namazi as a teammate for the Cleveland Force during the 2003-04 season before the current Ironmen headman was promoted to head coach of the Force... he was born in Pittsburgh and is the son of a Polish soccer coach... he has turned in a very successful outdoor career playing in Poland, beginning in 1999 for SKP Slupca and most recently with Tur Turek this past season in the Polish First League... over the time of his professional career, he has also played for the Polish National Team at the U-17, U-18 and U-21 level...
https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?p=17472541#post17472541 Apparently David was a guest player for Columbus this week as their "reserves" played Marshall University. I wonder if anything will come of it. The MLS window is closing but he's a free agent so he wouldn't fall under the window.
David will play with GKP Gorzów in Poland for 09/10 where, perhaps interestingly, he'll be a teammate of Freddy Moojen.
I thought we had a thread that mentioned his move to Tur Turek, but the search didn't find anything. Topolski has moved from Tur Turek to Viktoria Września of the Polish IV Liga. Here is their roster page. He has been there since at least March as he played and scored a goal in a match on March 18th. I didn't see anything prior to that.
