Theres too many mate... list looks kind of sad without Aus though. McDonald probably scored more goals last season than the rest of the players in that list put together.

Sadly, they rarely get playing time. :(
I hope Kim Dong-Jin return to starting 11.

well, at least Kim Dong Jin played enough to get a UEFA Champions medal whereas Lee Ho didnt get one.

yes, lets hope Kim Dong Jin recovers from his injury woes and Lee Ho steps up his game.

Lee Ho is a useless sack of crap that's been sitting on the pine for 2 seasons. Kim Dong Jin had a very good season, and only injury has kept him out recently. He's started for Zenit in recent games and seems to be back in the starting lineup.

Dong Jin was not playing, because he was injured.
I think he is the best left winger in the Asia at the moment. :)

mmm.....syrian and lebanese players are doing better than iranians.

Over 100 world-wide, with most in all the EU leagues & all divisions.

Why use "Asian" if he/she doesn't mean "AFC"? Pretty piss-poor of the thread starter to leave out Australian players, really.

He/she should be ashamed of himself/herself for displaying such racist xenophobia on BS.

Most of them would be in Australia if the domestic league wasn't so small.

How is the money situation in the Australian league? Do they get paid a lot?

i liked the post. I think an aussie poster should create an aussie list for us and put it here.

to be honest, except for the big names, i don't really know where the aussies play.

The marquee players get up around $750,000 a year, although i think Sydney FC paid Dwight Yorke $800,000. Someone who follows Sydney FC would be able to give you more info than that.

Besides the marquee player they only get around a couple of hundred for the top guys i think so it is not surprising that they go overseas if the oppotunity arises.

A-League is just about to start its 4th year and the crowds have gone from a little under 10,000 a game average to about 16-17,000 a game so it is growing, but has plenty of competition from Aussie Rules, Rugby Union and Rugby League in winter along with Cricket and Baseball in summer.

That would be per week i think, my maths is not great. But doesn't include 3rd party payments and bonuses which can potentially boost it up alot more.

when do you guys think countries like saudi arabia and guam will start producing players who are capable of playing in europe like countries like iran and china have? my educated guess says 25-30 years from now. i think its better for asian football for these countries to join the top asian teams in sending players to europe.
