SHOW... ME... THE... MUSIC THREAD (v5.0)
And heeeeeeeeere we go.
Anyways, in the last thread I said that I had a handful of really great albums that I was going to post up, and I never got around to it until now (when I should be writing my essay for my summer class, go figure...).
Hiroki Mizukami - Keep aLive
This is a tremendous rare album from Japan, with Hiroki Mizukami - jazz/classical pianist - mixing between hip hop and his two natural genres of work. I've been listening to this album almost non-stop for a month or so. The album is largely instrumental, but so beautiful that you forget that you're not being spoken to. A must have, even if you don't like hip hop.
Aicube presents... - Beautiful Field
Another instrumental album, this one from various artists including Nomak, Ayur, Quasar, and Five Deez. This 2007 album is full of emotion, and you'll find some sounds similar to the famous Japanese producer Nujabes, who I know at least one of you (Rakim) loves.
Johnson & Jonson (Blu & Mainframe) - Powders & Oil
A lot of people missed this one from Blu (it's B-L-U, and if ya see the E drop it) and the producer, Mainframe. Well, those people are missing out. Dope album, totally makes up for the garbage that Blu put out with Ta'Raach on the C.R.A.C. album. According to Wikipedia, this album was unreleased, but who cares? It's dope as ********.

Beautiful Field was a sensational album. I don't even know how to descibe it. So chill. So relaxing. Nice to kick back to after a stressful day. Props for finding this gem.

Glad you guys liked them. Just as a heads up, my man Sinapse from Philly is dropping his first album/mixtape this week, called Sinapse: Vol.1 - Recon
He's really dope, great lyrics and full of energy. It's gonna be a free download and it has some tracks that I'm really excited to hear. You can check out a few of the tracks that are going to be on it at his Myspace. I know for fact that he's keeping some of the best tracks secret and hasn't posted them on his Myspace yet. If you like it tell anyone you know about it.

Sinapse - Vol. 1: Recon
In my last post I mentioned that my man Sinapse was dropping his first album as a free download. Well, after a TON of hard work over the last few months it's finally arrived. He's really worked his ass off, setting up a studio in his house and working deep into many nights on getting his tracks just right, learning to mix and master which is VERY difficult to learn. On top of his ill lyrics and punches, he's got some very good guest appearances, such as Weapon X (who I'm in contact with, a REALLY good guy and very talented MC) and Fortune, and also great beats from producers like Troy K, Nemonic, and DC Entel, amongst others (unfortunately I didn't get on this one, but I don't have anything on these producers at this point). I was very excited and really anticipating this, and even with my high expectations, this is blowing me away. I just got home from work/class and just d/led it but I'm 4 tracks in and it's sick.
The album image above will take you to his Myspace, where you can download the album for FREE (from Megaupload) by clicking on the album cover image on his page. If you're on Myspace friend him and leave him some props, he's worked real hard on this.

Re: SHOW... ME... THE... MUSIC THREAD (v5.0)
Just bought the rising tied again (lost the first one, well it was stolen... long story the first week I bought it)
The 13th song is about the internment camps. Sooo soo little is heard about this in mainstream media. I thought it was a good job from FM and I'm really liking the album all over again.

I remember that song, it was called Kenji, right? Good song, although I didn't like the album that much.
(Nobody has commented on the album I linked... It's been getting rave reviews on sites like Wu-Corp and Canibus-Central, as well as his Myspace.)
If you're really too lazy to go to his Myspace to download it...

Re: SHOW... ME... THE... MUSIC THREAD (v5.0)
Way, way, wwwaaaayyyy behind the times on this one, but I finally got around to getting Night Ripper and Feed the Animals from Girl Talk (whom I had never heard before)... holy shit I can't stop listening to it. It's good to see that he is well over on the right side of that thin 'success/failure' line for mashup music. Probably the best mashup album I've heard since Radio Soulwax v.2.
