At first I couldn't believe that the Austrians weren't fighting over who got to take the penalty, then I remembered that it was Ottakringer that was on offer. While it is certainly better than most anything in the States not named Sam Adams, it is decidedly underwhelming by Austrian standards.

I've never had the stuff, is it sold in most liquor stores in the States?

I don't know. I used to live in Austria and had it there. It was about the cheapest decent beer you could get in many bars. It's not bad, it just doesn't stack up to some of the other Austrian beers.
