Winner goes to the Quarter Finals. Should be a cracker.

I copied and pasted from earlier moderator threads, so don't take offense because of flag size or whatever.
A moderator can delete and re-do if this is not okay.

Much tougher defensivly then the Turks, and a physically massive squad that could bully our players in midfield.
We need to keep the ball on the ground and move it around with pace, dont let them disrupt the flow of the match and get a chance to physically impose themselves.

Re: Czech Republic v. Portugal (Wedn. 11 June)[R]
Czech Republic does have Peter Cech who is one of the top goalkeepers in the world, and some might say the best. He and Ronaldo know each other well and in the Champions League Final, I'm rather sure, Ronaldo missed his shot in the penalty shootout, it may have been off target...at least somewhere in the game I think Ronaldo missed one from the penalty mark.
The Czechs have been qualifying for these tournaments, rather handily it would seem but seem to lack a spark when there.
Bruckner took sick before the tournament, I've got to think, pressure on the coach could enter into it.
Yeh, it may well be Defence against Offence: http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2008/...2008-Czech.php

There back line is impressive. Jankulovski and Ujfalusi are both great defenders, and then you have the Grygera and Rozenhal who play for notable clubs as well.
Their midfield is OK. Being stripped of Poborsky, Nevded, and Rosicky has made it real weak, and one of the few bright spots there is Plasil.
Their attack is not what it was at EURO 2004, greatly due to the lack of form of Milan Baros, but Koller can still bang in some goals, taking his height to his advantage.
With that said, they are aged, and slow, and from what I think, no match to a much, much quicker and talented Portugal squad.
Portugal 3 - Czech Rep. 0
