Default The goal scoring at Euro2008 thread [R]

I have a suspicion that there will be very few goals scored in the tournament. If someone scores 4 in a game I'd be very surprised.

So far a 1-0 and a 2-0 score... 3 goals in 2 games for a 1.50 avg.

Let's see if Germany gets this movin'...

So far, zzzz...

1-0, 2-0, 1-0, 2-0

That's a 1.50 avg.

All shotouts.

Croatia was sad. They didn't even try for more and almost paid for it.

Germany was OK.

Will any team score 3 in a freakin' match?

Wow.

I am praying that one of the matches tomorrow yields a 3-2 or even a 2-1. Just a match where both teams score!

I think Group A was slightly more exciting and stronger than Group B...I'm expecting entertaining games today...

Another day, another three more goals. Still 1.5 average, but hopefully the brillian Netherlands - Italy match will spark this tournament into life.

Yup, Holland saved the day. France couldn't crack Romania? Whoa.

I thought the 3rd Oranje goal would be counted as own goal, but hey...

Tomorrow, I do not expect improvement. Spain-Russia and Greece-Sweden could very well go 1-0 or 0-0.

Today the first hat-trick of the tournament! Given that, IIRC, no player managed one in the 64 matches of Germany 2006, which is the last hat trick scored in a major event? Anyone remembers?
