I will be in Las Vegas during the opening weekend of the Eurocup Tourney. Does anybody know any place in Vegas that would very likely show these games? or better yet, anybody know where I could go to place bets on these games? Any help would be appreciated, thanks a lot.

Ask the pit boss or concierge at any hotel/casino when you get there...I'm sure they'll be happy to point you to somebody who'll take that bet.

You're definitely in the right place to lay a wager or two....

Crown & Anchor is where you want to go watch football in Las Vegas. It's at the intersection of Tropicana & Maryland. It's not far from the strip at all. Ask any cab driver and they should know how to get your there.

I'll probably see you there for a game or two this weekend. Cheers!

The Orleans casino usually takes action on large soccer events, but beware, the bets suck. You usually have to give up points as well as play a line.

I would advise against the Crown and Anchor (Crown and Wanker). They usually charge a cover charge. The Orleans should have the games on a big screen. There is also an Irish pub across the street to the west of the Orleans that should be showing the games.

I ended up betting at the Luxor, any of the MGM owned hotels do bets for large soccer events. I didn't have much, but I bet $140 on portugal. The money line was -140, so I won $100. Better than nothing.

Did you have to beat a spread too?

No, soccer scores are too low to do a spread. They only do Moneyline betting, I'm not eloquent enough to describe it, but I'll give you an example:

Portugal -140 (You win $10 for every $14 that you bet if Port wins)
Turkey +210 (You win $21 for every $10 that you bet if Turkey)
Tie +180 (You win $18 for every $10 that you bet if it's a tie)

So in this kind of money, Portugal is favored to win, so I put down $140 and won $100, so they gave me back $240 (for the original 140 i put down).

When we bet the WC at the Orleans, they would have USA +110
Italy -140 and Italy -1 spread.

so in order to win, you had to give USA a goal and take the line. It sucked so I never bet again. It looks like the Luxor is actually interested in having people bet the game.
