IIRC, you used to be able to get great sausages at Eastern Market. Don't get over there much now.

Yeah, didn't have time to go to the local Italian butcher today so I figured if I was going big brand I might as well support the team.

Aside from Usinger's pork & veal brats, the best local source is Cafe Mozart on H St near NY Ave - Is Paul Schafer Meat Products still in business at the Inner Harbor?

This is outstanding news from my viewpoint.

I have thought Johnsonville Brats are the best since growing up in Illinois. Once we got hassled for trying to bring a cooler full of them through customs at the canadian border. This was before you could buy them on the East Coast.

Are they going to get a patch on the uniform?

And, I'm sorry, but if you thing Usingers are better you are mistaken.

And the fresh sausages are the only way to go.

I prefer the beer bath only after cooking.

No. That would be a breach of protocol. Kinda like advancing from "I dog dare ya", to the dreaded "triple dog dare ya".

Hell, no! Not 'til we say it is...

What this calls for is a really stupid, futile gesture on someone's part, and we're just the guys to do it.
