I'm stealing this from a post on Aether Everywhere. It's a fun idea and seems to work, so I'm cross-posting it here. Directly from the original post: 1 - Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band. 2 - Go to Random quotations: http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3 The last four words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album. If you want to do this again, you'll hit refresh to generate new quotes, because clicking the quotes link again will just give you the same quotes over and over again. 3 - Go to flickr's "explore the last seven days" http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/ Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover. Put it all together, that's your debut album. Note: The idea is courtesy of Jay from SpittingOutTeeth.
I did one on Aether Everywhere but I'm doing a fresh one here. Upper Turkeyfoot Township - I Say, "Why Not?" I'm guessing critics will use the word rustic somewhere in their review of my opus.
Fred Waldhauer - Acquaintance, or a Stranger i'm getting a Thomas Dolby feeling for my work. quite pleasing actually.
Gezum crow. That actually looks like a bands' publicity photo. It just needs a brick wall somewhere in the photo.
That was fun! Apparently, this is my album: (for the record, parental advisory added... but it seems like a band and album that would have one)
Emilio Zapico -- You, make him mad. I must say, the comma really makes that title work. However, I'm going to have to say my band sucks massively, leaning heavily on whiny nasal pop-punk mixed with awful, high school journal-ish acoustic ballads. Sigh.
I'd put Panfilo up there too. Very art-rock but workable. And Iceblink deserves extra credit for working up the actual album cover; although I'm scared of his band.
I'm liking this....German shoegazer with chick vocals? Yes, sir! Ockelb-Lundrgren The Silence of our Friends
