Pompey vs Wolves, Aug. 30, [R]
Here we go, a must win game for Pompey if we want to stay in the EPL next year. Also, I know its very early, but a loss by Wolves Saturday may be all she wrote for them in the EPL. With 0 points four games into the season is a deep hole to clime out of. This is even more of a must win for Wolves. If one of the promoted teams wants to stay up, they need the other two to go down. You cant count on two EPL teams to pull a Sunderland this year.
Also, we will likly see a few new faces in the line up for Pompey as well this week.

Wolves v Pompey
I will be on over the week end and give you a fans eye view of the match! It is going to be a tough match, despite Wolves failing to win a match! They are looking at the mid week score line of 1-0 against Man U as getting their credibility back. Wolves were a different team in that match! In my opinion a draw or a win for Wolves would have been a fairer scoreline!
Saying that a win would take us back up to the top with the other sides at the top playing Sunday! Smertin will probably be on the bench tomorrow, as he only met the rest of the team yesterday! The starting line up will most probably be the same as Tuesday night! As for the signings there is a rumour that tomorrow is the day all will be revealed, at or just after the match! Rumours dont you just love em?

This is an absolutely vital match. It has already been established on this board that we're not likely to get points from Arsenal - I am expecting a loss but hoping for an upset - so beating Wolves is vital to team confidence. Two losses in a row would surely deflate the boys' self esteem. Despite my earlier prediction of this match being "a breeze" upon further examination it turns out Pompey's record at Molineux is atrocious. One win there in 50-something years (25 visits) and that was in 1951! Play up Pompey - more now than ever!

0-0 the final.
I can live with this. Not the result I was hoping for but with eight bookings and Arry being sent off.... well a road draw is always a good reslut.

Dissapointed not to get the win, but like Harry said this is Portsmouth not Manchester United - any away points are good. Next stop Highbury!

Yesterday
Yesterday's game was overall ended in a fair(ish) result. Wolves as I said previously are starting to grow in confidence after their performance at Old Trafford and they were up for it today! The referee was in my opinion a major factor in us being under par on the day!He allowed him self to be 'swayed' by the home crowd who booed and jeered every time a Pompey player got the ball! He got out his yellow card eight times during the match and sent Harry off into the stand! The first yellow came with Quashie being booked within the first two minutes!
So of course Quashie had to ***************foot around for 90 minutes instead of playing real football! This pretty much set up the standard for the rest of the match, not just for Pompey but Wolves as well.....all both teams wanted to do was play football!!!
