Should be a free flowing attacking game.

Turkey has a very weak defence, and play open attacking soccer. This plays right into our hands as our defence is as good as any in the tournement, able to contain alot of pressure and defend with maturity and calm when all are fully fit..although Nihat and Tuncay are better strikers then any we have.. Emre Basturk and Aurelio are also quality on their day, but our defense is far better then theres.

The open space in midfield and the open flow of the game will perfectly suit Ronaldo/Quaresma/Simao/Nani/Deco/Miguel/Bosginwa and with Velosos superb passing range and technical skill our speed on the counter attack through the wings could be used as a iron fist...unless Nuno gomes is playing in which he slows down everything

I hope to see this lineup:

-----------Ricardo-----------
-----Carvalho---Pepe--------
Miguel----------------Bosginwa
-------Veloso---Moutinho-----
Quaresma---Deco-------Ronaldo
-----------Almeida-------------

I think that you are confused;

There is Emre Belezoglu from Newcastle United and there is Yildiray Basturk from Stuttgart... They are both central/attacking midfielders... When they are in good form they do real damage but they are both inconsistent players.

But you are absouletly right about our defence, it sucks...

And we have injury problems... Couple of defenders but more importantly right midfield/winger Hamit Altintop from Bayern Munich. He definitely will not play against Portugal, maybe in the quarter final if we advance...

But we have a solid midfield and a good forwards, if somehow we can solve our problems at defence we can really be a surprising team in this tournament

I agree on Quaresma instead of Simao. How come not Nani as forward?

I'm getting pumped, this game is not going to be an easy one. None ever are in the Euro and this game will set the tone for the rest of the Tournament for Portugal.
