Question Russian takeover of Blackburn ????

Blackburn have been the latest club to be sounded out for a takeover by a rich foreigner. This story has also appeared in the Daily Express and teletext:

http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/sport/...ticles/6438080

However, before we get too excited, maybe we should read these:

1. http://exile.ru/167/167010100.html (light grey column to the right)

2. Perhaps a more general interview with an exile on dodgy Russian banking:

http://www.russianlaw.org/ortv030500.htm

There is also the worry that he may get bored and leave, like Al-Fayed seems to be trying to do at Fulham.

Raul! Figo! Adriano! Sign them up!

Haha. I doubt this guy will take over Rovers, but you never know.

My main concern would be if he would leave us in the lurch with massive contracts on our hands.

I have the same concerns. Judging by this link, the current owners were a bit un-nerved by Mumat's desire to have total control of the club.

There is also the question that could Rovers become a feeder club to Chelski, since both Russians are such good friends, and we have such a good youth system.
